Clean stories to bring light to the world

Stories are light. Light is precious in a world so dark.
StoryLight is not just a name. It is a mission to spread light into a “world so dark” through stories that not only captivate, but also make the world a brighter place. It was once said that “In a world too often governed by corruption and arrogance, it can be difficult to stay true to one’s philosophical and literary principles.” (Lemony Snicket) And it is just as true of the book world as any other part. However, our press, our mission, is not founded on popularity or monetary gain. It is founded on community, on quality, and on the light of Jesus.
At StoryLight Press, we are not just a publisher. We are a community. We want to come alongside you, to help you turn your dream into a reality. While most indie publishers will just take your book, edit it, and take a cut of your profits, we will work with you to make your dream books, working with formatters, illustrators, cover designers, and editors. We are passionate about helping authors get their book, their light, out into the world, and we will never take any percentage of your sales or rights to your book. We believe that your book should be yours and yours alone. As a community, we also believe that we have a responsibility to help others, whether that be with marketing, proofreading, or encouraging each other, we all work together.
You might be thinking, “Yeah, this sounds good, but it seems too good to be true.” That is because in this world, so many people try to take advantage of you. I know because I’ve been taken advantage of, especially by “indie presses,” but our press has one key difference. We are not a business. We’re just authors, like you, who have come together to help you, not because we get anything out of it, but because we—I—want to help you.

Our second pillar of our press is quality. There are millions of indie-published books out there, because today literally anyone can publish books, and most of them don’t invest in the quality. That is where we stand out. We work with authors to make their books shine, offering services like professional editing, cover design, and illustration services. Just because this is your book does not mean you have to take the journey alone. We want to come alongside you and make your book the high quality masterpiece you wrote it to be.
At the core, StoryLight Press is a ministry, not a business. We believe in total transparency. As of now, StoryLight Press is a press made up of two authors, brother and sister, who are passionate about helping indie authors see their books come to life.

Founder of StoryLight Press, Timothy Wolfe is a young writer and graphic designer who had a passion for helping others, especially fellow young writers. That’s why he created this press. Timothy always strives to take the path less traveled, even when it’s the hardest one. He published his first book, The Crystal Files: Mission Aquamarine in the summer of 2025, and he’s working on the second. Along with that, he’s written for FamilyRVing, and published an episode series on talesofthelight.com.

Editor for StoryLight Press, Elisabeth Joy is also a young writer and loves devouring stories. Ever since she was little, she’s had a passion for finding errors and problems and fixing them. Elisabeth Joy is a master obfuscator, an incurable daydreamer, a seeker of little-known knowledge, and a writer at heart. While furthering her characters’ conflicts in a slew of different stories is her main vocation, she can often be found chasing after her service dog in training, lost in the captivating world of research, or catching up on Marvel movies. She published her first book, Trouble Lurks, in May of 2025. She’s also been featured in the King’s Daughters Story Collections: Joy, Everything, and No Clue.
